About the Band
Riot V, formerly known as Riot, is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1975 by guitarist Mark Reale. Achieving peak success and popularity during the early 1980s, the band has continued a long-running successful career. Riot started out as straightforward heavy metal, but since their 1988 release Thundersteel, their style has shifted towards power metal. In 2013, surviving members of Riot reformed the band as Riot V, after the death of founder, guitarist, primary songwriter and leader Mark Reale. The group uses a baby seal face as a logo on its album covers.

Album Review
Riot V's latest album 'Mean Streets' is a powerful display of classic heavy metal prowess that showcases the band's enduring talent and energy. From the anthemic opener 'Hail to the Warriors' to the haunting ballad 'Love Beyond the Grave,' the album takes listeners on a journey through thunderous riffs, soaring vocals, and relentless energy. Standout tracks like 'High Noon' and 'Mean Streets' capture the essence of Riot V's signature sound, while 'Before This Time' and 'Lost Dreams' add depth and emotion to the mix. The production quality is top-notch, allowing every instrument to shine and the vocals to soar. 'Mean Streets' is a perfect addition to Riot V's discography, showing that they still have what it takes to deliver a killer heavy metal album.
