In 1999, James LaBrie, the iconic vocalist of Dream Theater, embarked on a progressive metal solo project under the moniker MullMuzzler. Due to record label restrictions, LaBrie had to adopt this pseudonym, which he defined as silencing an individual's thoughts before they could be expressed. Joined by talented musicians like Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller, and Mike Mangini, MullMuzzler released their debut album 'Keep It to Yourself' in 1999, showcasing LaBrie's clean vocals and the band's intricate musicality.
