From crooning to screaming, his vocal range adds a dynamic layer to the music, enhancing the overall atmospheric experience. The varied vocal styles, combined with the intricate instrumentations, create a captivating sonic landscape that keeps the listener engaged throughout the album.
In terms of production, "In the Catacombs of Time" maintains a raw and authentic sound that aligns with the essence of one-man black metal projects. While some may critique the production quality, it adds to the album's raw appeal and authenticity, capturing the essence of Malist's musical vision. The album's release in early 2019 marked a refreshing addition to the atmospheric black metal scene, offering a blend of traditional and innovative elements.
