About the Band
Lonely People with Power is the sixth studio album by American metal band Deafheaven, released on March 28, 2025, through Roadrunner Records. It was the band's first album since joining the label in 2024. Having previously completely abandoned black metal elements on 2021's Infinite Granite, Lonely People with Power saw Deafheaven return to their usual blackgaze sound. The album was universally acclaimed by critics, and was named a top-ten release of the year by publications such as Consequence, Decibel, Exclaim!, Kerrang! and The Ringer.

Album Review
The Lonely's latest release 'Beyond The Wounds' is a haunting journey through the depths of despair, blending elements of black metal, blackgaze, and depressive black metal to create a truly immersive listening experience. The raw emotion and intensity in tracks like 'Disease Called Life' and 'Abyss Of Isolation' are spine-chilling, while the atmospheric beauty of 'Isolated Life' and 'Invincibles' offers a brief respite from the darkness. The production quality is impeccable, capturing every nuance of the band's sound with clarity and power. 'Beyond The Wounds' is a standout in The Lonely's discography, showcasing their evolution as artists while staying true to their roots.
