Sorcerer Unveils ‘Reign Of The Reaper’ Album Details

Sorcerer, the iconic metal band, has been a force to be reckoned with since their resurgence in 2010. With a series of electrifying live performances and three stellar albums under their belt, the band shows no signs of slowing down.

Their album ‘In The Shadow Of The Inverted Cross’ in 2015 marked their triumphant return, showcasing their classic epic doom metal style. Following up in 2017 with ‘The Crowning Of The Fire King,’ Sorcerer delved deeper into their sound, crafting heavy, melodic metal with powerful vocals and infectious hooks.

By 2020, Sorcerer pushed boundaries with ‘Lamenting Of The Innocent,’ a concept album that displayed intricate songwriting and highlighted vocalist Anders Engberg’s prowess. The album was met with critical acclaim, propelling Sorcerer to perform at renowned metal festivals worldwide.

Anticipation mounted for their fourth album, ‘Reign Of The Reaper,’ set to release in autumn 2023. Promising their darkest and most aggressive material yet, the band embarked on an intense creative process in 2022, culminating in a recording session at SolnaSound Recording in Stockholm.

Staying true to their trusted team, Sorcerer enlisted the expertise of Ronnie Björnström for engineering and mixing, and Jani Stefanovic for artwork design. The album’s striking cover art was crafted by Swedish artist Joakim Ericsson, enhancing the band’s visual identity.

The lead single, ‘Morning Star,’ weaves a tale of Lucifer’s fall, showcasing the band’s adept fusion of classic metal elements. Guitarist Kristian Niemann describes the track’s genesis, highlighting the band’s collective effort in bringing it to life.

Known for their epic title tracks, Sorcerer’s second single, ‘Reign Of The Reaper,’ plunges listeners into a world of death and despair. With its captivating chorus and intricate composition, the song epitomizes the band’s signature sound.

Set for release on October 27th through Metal Blade Records, ‘Reign Of The Reaper’ features eight new tracks that promise to captivate metal enthusiasts across genres.
