About the Band

Death was an American death metal band formed in Altamonte Springs, Florida, in 1983 by guitarist Chuck Schuldiner (who later became the band's sole vocalist), drummer/vocalist Kam Lee, and guitarist Rick Rozz. Formed out of what would become the Florida death metal scene, Death is considered a pioneering band in death metal. The band's 1987 debut album, Scream Bloody Gore, has been widely regarded as one of the first death metal records, alongside the first records from Possessed and Necrophagia. Death had a fluctuating lineup, with Schuldiner, aside from a European tour, being the sole consistent member. The group's style progressed from the raw sound on its first two albums to a more complex one in its later stage.

Album Review

Screamer's latest album 'Kingmaker' is a powerful testament to the band's prowess in the heavy metal genre. From the opening title track, the listener is catapulted into a world of blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and soaring vocals that harken back to the glory days of classic metal. The production quality on this record is top-notch, with every instrument shining through clearly and creating a dynamic and impactful sound. Standout tracks like 'Kingmaker' showcase the band's ability to craft anthemic and memorable songs that will surely become fan favorites. 'Kingmaker' fits seamlessly into Screamer's career, solidifying their position as one of the leading forces in modern heavy metal, and leaving listeners hungry for more.
