Grave, Naðra, and Dodecahedron are the latest additions to the lineup of the highly anticipated Inferno Metal Festival 2018 in Norway. The Swedish death metal veterans, Grave, are set to deliver a special “30th-anniversary old school set 1988-91” during the festival. Joining them are Icelandic black metal outfit Naðra and avant-garde black metal band Dodecahedron.
The impressive roster of the Inferno Metal Festival 2018 includes renowned acts such as Emperor, Obituary, Ihsahn, Carpathian Forest, Dark Funeral, Napalm Death, and many more. Festival passes for all four days are currently available for purchase, with single-day tickets to be released at a later date.
For the festival-goers’ convenience, the official festival hotel is the Scandic St. Olavs Plass, located in the city center with easy access to the festival venue at Rockefeller. The hotel is a short walk from Nationaltheatret station, where the airport express train from Oslo Airport Gardermoen stops. Additionally, the main street Karl Johan, The National Gallery (Nasjonalgalleriet), and Blitz, an alternative culture house, are all within proximity to the hotel.
During the festival period, Scandic St. Olavs Plass offers discounted room rates, including breakfast, for early bird bookings made before February 1, 2018. The hotel will also host the Inferno Music Conference (IMC) in its main conference facilities, Edderkoppen Scene, along with a metal expo featuring exhibitions and stands in the lobby area.
The Inferno Metal Festival is not just about music performances but also about creating an immersive experience for attendees. Official vorspiels and nachspiels with DJs will take place in the hotel’s stylish art deco bar, adding to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
