Armstrong MetalFest 2025 Lineup Revealed: Heavy Metal Extravaganza

Armstrong MetalFest, celebrating 15 years of mountain moshing in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, has unveiled its 2025 lineup, featuring renowned bands like BORN OF OSIRIS, HAVOK, GLYPH, RIOT CITY, THE BROWNING, and VIRVUM from Canada and beyond.

Set to take place on July 11th and 12th at the Hassen Arena in Armstrong, BC, this year’s festival promises two days of intense music, headbanging, and camping. Festival council members expressed their excitement for the lineup, with Heather Valstar, Vice President of West Metal Entertainment Society, eagerly anticipating Born of Osiris’ performance.

Kate Kutzner, President of West Metal Entertainment Society, highlighted the diversity of the lineup, praising the selection team for curating a mix of established favorites and fresh additions. Festival Co-Founder and General Manager Jessie Valstar described the event as a work of art, celebrating the festival’s 15th year.

AMF Weekend Passes are now available, providing access to the festival grounds, camping area, and arena. Headlining the opening night on July 11th is HAVOK, a Denver thrash metal band with a string of successful albums and a recent EP release in November.

Joining the lineup for Friday night is Glyph, a band from the Pacific Northwest known for their unique concept and storytelling in their music. Calgary’s Riot City will also bring their energetic heavy metal performance to the stage.

Saturday, July 12th will feature Chicago’s BORN OF OSIRIS as the headliner, known for their progressive deathcore sound and multiple chart-topping albums. THE BROWNING from Kansas City will showcase their electronicore and deathcore fusion, while VIRVUM from Switzerland will bring their technical death metal to the festival.

Other notable acts include DROWNING IN BLOOD from Montreal, GRAVEMASS from Vancouver, and Stortregn from Switzerland, offering a diverse range of metal genres and styles. The festival will also feature activities such as Yeti Games, Metal Madness Market, and Thrash Wrestling.

Since its inception in 2009, Armstrong MetalFest has been a platform for both local and international metal bands, drawing fans from across Canada and the USA to the picturesque Okanagan Valley. The festival has hosted renowned acts like Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, and Archspire, as well as emerging artists from North America.

West Metal Entertainment, the non-profit organization behind Armstrong MetalFest, aims to promote musical talent and passion by organizing events and providing opportunities for bands to showcase their music.
