About the Band
Xandria is a German symphonic metal band founded by Marco Heubaum in 1994. Originally a project, Heubaum later restarted the project as a band in 1999, and has gone through various lineup changes. The German vocalist Lisa Middelhauve joined for the debut album, co-writing both music and lyrics for the band until her departure in 2008. Middelhauve reunited briefly with the band in 2010 following the departure of the band's second vocalist Kerstin Bischof, but left again shortly after.

Album Review
Xandria's latest album 'Universal Tales' is a captivating journey through symphonic metal realms, showcasing the band's signature blend of powerful vocals, enchanting melodies, and epic orchestral arrangements. The production quality is top-notch, allowing every instrument and element to shine through with clarity and depth. Standout tracks include the anthemic 'Universal' with its soaring chorus, the haunting beauty of '200 Years', and the emotionally charged 'Live the Tale'. The acoustic film score version of 'The Wonders Still Awaiting' provides a serene interlude amidst the grandeur, while the orchestral versions of the main tracks add another layer of grandiosity to the album. 'Universal Tales' is a testament to Xandria's evolution and musical prowess, solidifying their place as one of the leading forces in the symphonic metal genre.
