About the Band
Vitriol is the general chemical name encompassing a class of chemical compounds comprising sulfates of certain metals – originally, iron or copper. Those mineral substances were distinguished by their color, such as green vitriol for hydrated iron(II) sulfate and blue vitriol for hydrated copper(II) sulfate. These materials were found originally as crystals formed by evaporation of groundwater that percolated through sulfide minerals and collected in pools on the floors of old mines. The word vitriol comes from the Latin word vitriolus, meaning "small glass", as those crystals resembled small pieces of colored glass. Oil of vitriol was an old name for concentrated sulfuric acid, which was historically obtained through the destructive distillation (pyrolysis) of vitriols (sulfates).

Album Review
Vitriol's latest offering, 'Suffer & Become', is a relentless onslaught of blistering riffs, guttural vocals, and chaotic drumming that will leave listeners breathless. The band's signature blend of death metal and black metal elements is pushed to new extremes on tracks like 'The Flowers of Sadism' and 'Weaponized Loss', where the raw aggression is palpable. The production quality is top-notch, capturing every crushing moment with crystal clarity. Standout tracks like 'Survival’s Careening Inertia' showcase the band's ability to seamlessly blend melody with sheer brutality, creating a dynamic listening experience. 'Suffer & Become' solidifies Vitriol's position as one of the most ferocious bands in the metal scene today, a must-listen for fans of extreme music.
