About the Band
Runemagick is a Swedish death/doom metal band formed in 1990. The band was started by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson under the name Desiderius, which was quickly changed to Runemagic. First, the band consisted solely of Rudolfsson, but he was later joined by Robert "Reaper" Pehrsson. They started out as a pure death metal band but later incorporated doom metal influences, inspired by the likes of Bathory, Treblinka/Tiamat, Celtic Frost, Nihilist/Entombed, and Candlemass. After a few demos the band fell apart in 1993.

Album Review
Runemagick's latest offering, 'Beyond the Cenotaph of Mankind,' is a haunting journey through the depths of death-doom metal. The album exudes a dark and ominous atmosphere, with crushing riffs, mournful melodies, and guttural vocals that create a sense of foreboding. The production quality is top-notch, allowing every instrument to shine while maintaining a raw and primal edge. Standout tracks like 'Endless Night and Eternal End' and 'Nocturnal Deities of Winter' showcase the band's ability to blend aggression with melancholy, creating a truly immersive listening experience. 'Beyond the Cenotaph of Mankind' fits seamlessly into Runemagick's discography, building upon their signature sound while pushing boundaries and exploring new musical territories.
