About the Band

Brutal death metal is a subgenre of death metal that privileges heaviness, speed and complex rhythms over other aspects, such as melody and timbres. The genre was pioneered in the early 1990s by Suffocation and other groups from New York including Mortician, Skinless and Malignancy. Its subgenre slam death metal quickly developed, played by Internal Bleeding, Devourment and Cephalotripsy, putting a greater emphasis on the genre's mid-tempo, groove sections and breakdowns. During the mid–1990s, a prominent wave of groups emphasising the genre's more technical aspects developed with Cryptopsy, Nile, Origin and Dying Fetus.

Album Review

Human Barbecue's latest offering, 'Decimated by Barbarity', is a relentless onslaught of brutal and uncompromising death metal. The album delivers a crushing sound that is as heavy as a sledgehammer to the skull, with guttural vocals, pummeling drums, and razor-sharp guitar riffs that slice through the air like a butcher's knife. Standout tracks like 'Force Fed Razorblades' and 'Ceremonial Scalping' showcase the band's ability to create intense and visceral music that leaves a lasting impression. The production quality is top-notch, capturing every bone-crushing riff and thunderous blast beat with crystal clear precision. 'Decimated by Barbarity' solidifies Human Barbecue's place as one of the leading forces in the extreme metal scene, pushing boundaries and delivering a sonic assault that will leave listeners gasping for breath.
