About the Band
Andrew John Hurley (born May 31, 1980) is an American musician who is the drummer for the rock band Fall Out Boy. Prior to Fall Out Boy, Hurley played in several hardcore punk bands. He joined Fall Out Boy as the full-time drummer in 2003 and was in the band's lineup until its hiatus in 2009. Following that, he formed the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things with Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman; the group went on hiatus after its debut album, Ironiclast (2010), due to band members focusing on their original bands' new album cycles.

Album Review
Hail the Void's latest offering, 'Memento Mori,' is a powerful testament to the band's evolution and mastery of their craft. The album is a whirlwind of aggressive riffs, pounding drums, and haunting vocals that create a dark and intense atmosphere. Standout tracks like 'High and Rising' showcase the band's ability to seamlessly blend melody with aggression, while 'Talking to the Dead' delivers a bone-chilling intensity that will leave listeners on the edge of their seats. The production quality on 'Memento Mori' is top-notch, allowing each instrument to shine while still maintaining a raw and gritty edge. This album marks a new chapter in Hail the Void's career, solidifying their place as one of the most exciting bands in the heavy metal scene.
