Founded by vocalist/guitarist Jarrod Hattervig, second guitarist Andy Martin, and drummer Jon Martin, the band wasted no time in crafting their dark, atmospheric sound.

Two years after their inception, Woman Is the Earth unleashed their debut album 'Of Dirt' upon the world. Self-produced and self-published, this raw and haunting release set the stage for what was to come from this enigmatic trio.

Rise to Prominence (2012–2016)

With the release of their second album 'This Place That Contains My Spirit' in 2012, Woman Is the Earth began to carve their name into the annals of black metal history. This record, re-released in 2014, showcased the band's evolution and musical prowess.
