A History of Vitriol

Formation and Early Success (1998–2002)

My Vitriol, a British alternative rock band, burst onto the scene in 1998 in London, with a lineup consisting of singer and guitarist Som Wardner, drummer Ravi Kesavaram, guitarist Seth Taylor, and bassist Tatia Starkey. The band quickly made a name for themselves with their debut album Finelines in 2001, which produced three top-40 hit singles on the UK Singles Chart, showcasing their talent and unique sound to the world.

Despite their early success, My Vitriol announced a hiatus in 2002, leaving fans eagerly awaiting their return and hungry for more of their distinctive brand of music.

Reunion and New Material (2007–2016)

After a five-year break, My Vitriol made a triumphant return in 2007 with new material that continued to captivate audiences and showcase their evolution as a band. Their dedication to pushing boundaries and experimenting with their sound was evident in their limited fanbase album The Secret Sessions, released in October 2016, which further solidified their status as pioneers in the alternative rock scene.

The band's name, inspired by the Graham Greene novel Brighton Rock, serves as a testament to their literary and artistic influences, adding depth and meaning to their music.
