Formation and Early Years (2004–2006)

Underneath the Gun emerged from the fiery depths of Corona, California in 2004 when the members were just 12 years old. With a passion for metalcore and deathcore, the band wasted no time in releasing their debut EP, 'You Prepare The Bodies, I'll Get The Ice,' in 2006 via This City is Burning Records. This marked the beginning of their relentless journey into the world of heavy music.

Rise to Prominence and Evolution (2006–2009)

In 2006, Underneath the Gun unleashed their debut album, 'The Awakening,' showcasing their raw talent and unbridled energy. The band's sound evolved from deathcore to a more metalcore style on their second album, 'Forfeit Misfortunes,' released in 2009 through Ferret Music. Recorded by Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying, this album solidified their place in the metal scene.

Disbandment and Reunion (2009–Present)

Tragically, Underneath the Gun disbanded in 2009 due to vocalist Harrison DeGrote's health issues, cutting short what seemed to be a promising career. However, in a surprising turn of events, the band made a triumphant return in 2023, releasing singles like 'As Within, So Without' and 'Burial Crown.' With a renewed sense of purpose, they continue to captivate audiences with their intense music and unwavering passion.

Underneath the Gun may have faced setbacks, but their resilience and dedication to their craft have solidified their legacy in the metalcore and deathcore scene. Their impact on the genre continues to inspire new generations of heavy music enthusiasts.
