Tubero emerged from the bustling metal scene of Quezon City in 2008, formed by a group of co-workers with a shared passion for grindcore, death metal, and hardcore punk. Initially a side project born out of a spontaneous studio experiment, the band quickly gained attention for their explicit adult content and uniquely Filipino humor-infused lyrics, earning them the title of 'Kupal Metal'.

In 2018, Tubero unleashed their debut album 'Kupal Destroyer', a raw and unapologetic display of their chaotic sound. With tracks like 'Guard Tang Ina Mo' and 'Pweh!', the band solidified their reputation for high-energy performances and masked stage personas, drawing comparisons to the likes of Slipknot.

Rise to Prominence (2019–2021)

Signing with Tower of Doom in 2019 marked a turning point for Tubero, as they joined a roster of heavy and extreme acts. The band's music hit streaming platforms, radio shows, and live sessions, showcasing their relentless energy and irreverent style to a wider audience.

Tracks like 'Kapitbahay' and 'Wala Na Akong Pera' further solidified Tubero's place in the metal scene, with their animated music videos capturing the band's humorous take on everyday Filipino life. Tubero's participation in Lola Amour's Misbehave Mini Tour in 2025 brought their unique brand of metal to new heights, sharing stages with diverse artists and captivating audiences with their intense live performances. The band's appearance in the film 'Sampung Utos Kay Josh' further solidified their presence in the Filipino metal scene.

With a current lineup featuring members like Pastor BP, Siraulo, and Banal na Tae, Tubero continues to push boundaries with their blend of grindcore, humor, and high-energy stage presence. Their legacy as pioneers of 'Kupal Metal' remains strong, resonating with fans both in the Philippines and beyond.
