Formation and Early Years (2003–2023)

Pneuma emerged from the depths of San Jose in 2003, a beacon of thrash metal brilliance in the Costa Rican metal scene. With Antonio Masis leading the charge on bass and vocals, Norman Mena's thunderous drumming providing the backbone, and Daniel Vega and Jose Sibaja shredding on guitars, Pneuma's lineup was a force to be reckoned with. New Horizons and Lineup Changes (2023–present)

In 2023, Pneuma welcomed Emanuel Calderón Sánchez into their ranks as their new drummer, bringing a wealth of experience from other Costa Rican metal projects. This lineup change injected new life into the band, propelling them towards new horizons and greater musical heights.

With their revamped lineup, Pneuma continues to push the boundaries of thrash metal, delivering blistering riffs, thunderous rhythms, and guttural vocals that resonate with metalheads worldwide. The band shows no signs of slowing down, cementing their place as one of Costa Rica's finest metal exports.
