A History of Manapart

Formation and Early Years (2018–2020)

Manapart emerged from the vibrant metal scene of St. Petersburg, Russia in 2018, blending elements of alternative metal, nu metal, heavy metal, hard rock, and progressive metal. The band's origins can be traced back to the cover band 'Wishup band', where members Artem Popov, Arman Babaian, Zakhariy Zurabian, and Peter Zubkov honed their skills performing System of a Down covers. However, in 2018, they decided to shift their focus towards creating original music.

In November 2020, Manapart released their self-titled debut album, showcasing their unique sound and musical vision. With Artem Popov on vocals, Arman Babaian on lead guitar, Zakhariy Zurabian on drums, and later joined by Ivan Yakushin on bass guitar, the band began to make waves in the metal scene.

Rise to Prominence (2021–2023)

The year 2021 marked a significant milestone for Manapart as they held their first solo concert, captivating audiences with their electrifying live performance. The following year, the band released the EP '2084', which garnered widespread attention and acclaim across international markets such as the UK, Germany, and the USA.

In 2023, Manapart's single 'Void Manifesto' from the mini-album '2084' soared to number 4 on the Primordial Radio Top 40 chart, solidifying their position as a rising force in the metal scene. The band's single 'Misery' also earned accolades, winning the 'Single/Video of the Month' category on Metal Has No Borders.

Continued Success and Evolution (2024–present)

Building on their momentum, Manapart released their sophomore studio album 'Red' in 2024, further showcasing their growth and musical prowess. The band continued to push boundaries with singles like 'Bull’s Eye' and 'Suspiria', captivating audiences with their dynamic sound and intense energy.

With a string of successful releases and a dedicated fan base, Manapart embarked on a series of live performances in Russia and Armenia, solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in the metal scene. The band's relentless drive and passion for their craft continue to fuel their evolution and success.
