A History of Lucifer (multinational band)

Formation and Early Years (2014–2017)

Lucifer emerged from the ashes of The Oath in 2014 when vocalist Johanna Sadonis decided to continue making music after the breakup of her previous band. With the addition of guitarist Gaz Jennings and drummer Andy Prestidge, Lucifer quickly gained momentum with the release of their debut album 'Lucifer I' in 2015.

After some lineup changes and the departure of Jennings and Prestidge in 2017, Sadonis teamed up with Swedish multi-instrumentalist Nicke Andersson to record their second album 'Lucifer II'. The band's sound evolved, and they signed with Century Media Records, releasing singles like 'Faux Pharaoh' and 'California Son' before embarking on a European tour.

Rise to Prominence and Album Releases (2018–2021)

With the release of 'Lucifer III' in 2020, the band solidified their place in the heavy metal scene. The album received critical acclaim and earned a nomination for Best Hard Rock/Metal at the 2021 Grammis awards.
