Acquisition of Asda and Continued Growth (2020–2024)

In a historic move in October 2020, Mohsin and Zuber Issa, alongside TDR Capital, acquired majority stake in the renowned British supermarket chain Asda. This milestone marked a new chapter in their entrepreneurial journey, showcasing their ability to navigate complex business landscapes with finesse.

From August 2021 to September 2024, Mohsin took on the role of chief executive at Asda, steering the company towards continued growth and success. With a keen eye for strategic opportunities and a relentless drive for excellence, the Issa brothers continued to expand their influence and impact in the industry.

Transition and Legacy Building (2024–Present)

As of April 2026, Mohsin remains a minority owner of Asda, while Zuber has shifted his focus to his separate venture, EG On The Move. Despite these changes, the Issa brothers continue to be instrumental in the success of the EG Group business, where they collectively own half of the company and serve as non-executive directors on the board.

In addition to their business ventures, Mohsin and Zuber also share ownership of the Issa Foundation and the Monte group of companies, showcasing their commitment to philanthropy and strategic investments.
