Formation and Early Years (2002–2005)

Iron Mask emerged from the depths of Brussels, Belgium in 2002, forged by the skilled hands of guitarist Dushan Petrossi, known for his work with Magic Kingdom. Their debut album, 'Revenge Is My Name', released in the early days of the band, showcased their power metal prowess with bass by Vassili Moltchanov and vocals by Phil Letaw.

With the release of 'Hordes of the Brave' in 2005, Iron Mask underwent lineup changes, welcoming vocalist Goetz 'Valhalla Jr' Mohr to the fold. The album featured guest vocals by Oliver Hartmann and keyboard solos by Richard Andersson, solidifying Iron Mask's place in the power metal scene.

Rise to Prominence (2009–2011)

The band's third album, 'Shadow of the Red Baron', released in 2009, showcased a darker and more evolved sound. With Goetz 'Valhalla Jr.' Mohr on vocals and contributions from guest musicians like Lars Eric Mattsson and Roma Siadletski, Iron Mask continued to captivate audiences with their epic storytelling and virtuosic musicianship.

Despite lineup changes and vocalist health issues, Iron Mask's performance at Graspop Metal Meeting in 2010 solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the power metal realm. With new drummer Ramy Ali and keyboardist Philippe Giordana, the band continued to push boundaries and enthrall fans.

Maturity and Evolution (2011–2016)

Iron Mask's album 'Black as Death', released in 2011, marked a new chapter for the band with vocal contributions from powerhouses Mark Boals and Göran Edman. The addition of Mats Olausson on keyboards and production by Denis Ward elevated the band's sound to new heights, garnering critical acclaim and expanding their fan base.

The release of 'Fifth Son of Winterdoom' in 2013 and 'Diabolica' in 2016 showcased Iron Mask's continued growth and innovation in the power metal genre. With a rotating lineup of talented musicians and a commitment to excellence, the band cemented their legacy as stalwarts of the metal scene.
