Formation and Early Years (2007–2010)

Hooded Menace emerged from the dark depths of Joensuu, Finland in 2007, birthed by the twisted mind of guitarist Lasse Pyykkö, a veteran of the death metal scene. Their debut demo, 'The Eyeless Horde,' unleashed a monstrous blend of death and doom upon the world in 2007, setting the stage for their full-length debut 'Fulfill the Curse' in 2008. The band's sophomore effort, 'Never Cross the Dead,' in 2010 solidified their reputation as masters of the death-doom genre.

Rise to Prominence (2011–2015)

As the years passed, Hooded Menace continued their unholy crusade, releasing albums like 'Effigies of Evil' in 2012 and 'Darkness Drips Forth' in 2015, each one a testament to their macabre creativity. The band also ventured into split albums and EPs, collaborating with the likes of Asphyx, spreading their haunting melodies far and wide. Their live performances at major metal festivals further solidified their place in the pantheon of death-doom.

Current Era (2016–present)

With a lineup change that brought Harri Kuokkanen on vocals in 2016, Hooded Menace entered a new era of darkness. Their fifth studio album, 'Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed,' in 2018 continued to captivate fans with its bone-chilling atmospheres. The band's subsequent releases, 'The Tritonus Bell' in 2021 and 'Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration' in 2025, showcased their unwavering dedication to crafting sinister sonic landscapes.
