A History of Heathen Beast

Formation and Early Years (2010–2012)

Heathen Beast emerged from the depths of Mumbai, India in 2010, bringing a unique blend of grindcore and black metal to the metal scene. Consisting of Carvaka on vocals and guitars, Samkhya on bass, and Mimamsa on drums, the trio worked under pseudonyms to maintain an aura of mystery around their true identities. Their debut EP, 'Ayodhya Burns,' unleashed a brutal assault on religious dogma and societal norms, garnering praise from fans and critics alike.

In 2012, Heathen Beast continued their sonic onslaught with the release of 'The Drowning of the Elephant God.' This EP, available only as a free download, showcased the band's uncompromising stance against religious oppression and received high critical acclaim, solidifying their place in the underground metal scene.

Rise and Evolution (2015–2017)

With the release of 'The Carnage of Godhra' in 2015, Heathen Beast further cemented their reputation as one of India's most potent metal acts. This EP, available as a free download, continued to explore themes of religious violence and social injustice with unrelenting ferocity. The band's compilation CD, 'Trident,' brought together their first three EPs, showcasing their evolution and growth over the years.

In 2016, Heathen Beast unleashed 'The Rise of the Saffron Empire,' their fourth EP, via Transcending Obscurity. Available in both digital and physical formats, this release marked a new chapter in the band's discography, pushing boundaries and challenging listeners with their uncompromising lyrical content and intense musical compositions.

Recent Years and Latest Releases (2018–2020)

2018 saw Heathen Beast deliver 'Bloody Sabarimala,' a powerful statement against religious hypocrisy and patriarchal traditions. The band continued their fearless exploration of controversial topics with 'Fuck All Religions, Equally' in 2019, showcasing their unwavering commitment to challenging the status quo.

In 2020, Heathen Beast unleashed their full-length album, 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised but It Will Be Heard,' solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the global metal community.
