A History of Evermore

Formation and Early Years (1999–2004)

Evermore, a rock band hailing from Feilding, New Zealand, burst onto the scene in 1999 with the lineup consisting of three talented brothers: Jon, Peter, and Dann Hume. Their musical journey began in their hometown before they decided to make the move to Sydney in 2004.

Hits like 'Running', 'Light Surrounding You', and 'Hey Boys and Girls (Truth of the World pt.2)' propelled Evermore to the top of the charts, with 'Light Surrounding You' even reaching number one in Australia. The band's success was further recognized with nominations for seven ARIA Music Awards and two New Zealand Music Awards.

Later Years and Solo Careers (2010–2014)

As the band entered the later years of their career, they released a self-titled compilation album in 2010, showcasing their musical evolution and growth. Despite their success, Evermore's journey eventually led them to become inactive in 2014, with each of the members pursuing solo careers.
