A History of Concrete Winds

Formation and Debut Album (2019–2019)

In 2019, the Finnish death metal powerhouse known as Concrete Winds emerged from the ashes of VORUM, with PJ and Mikko leading the charge. Drawing inspiration from the dark depths of their previous band, they unleashed their debut album 'Primitive Force' on Sepulchral Voice Records. This record was a violent eruption of extreme metal, captivating listeners with its relentless energy and creativity.

The release of 'Primitive Force' sent shockwaves through the underground death metal scene, earning critical acclaim from publications like Exclaim! and Decibel Magazine. Concrete Winds proved that they were a force to be reckoned with, pushing the boundaries of extreme music while staying true to their roots.

Rise to Prominence and Second Album (2020–2021)

As the flames of their debut album continued to burn bright, Concrete Winds took the stage in 2020, introducing Mika Heinonen on second guitar. Their live performances solidified their reputation as a fierce trio, paving the way for their explosive appearance at Kill-Town Deathfest in 2021.

Following their festival triumph, Concrete Winds unleashed their sophomore album 'Nerve Butcherer' in late 2021. This record was a relentless onslaught of ferocity and madness, pushing the boundaries of brutality even further. Critics hailed it as a punishing inferno that left souls tortured and minds reeling.

International Tours and Third Album (2022–2024)

In 2022, Concrete Winds embarked on a European tour with Demilich, showcasing their raw power to audiences across the continent. Their first U.S. show at Saint Vitus in New York marked a significant milestone in their global conquest. The band continued to spread their sonic devastation, joining forces with Bölzer and Watain on the 'Agony & Ecstasy Over Europe' tour in 2023.

By early 2024, Concrete Winds had solidified their place in the metal world, joining booking agency Goetia Productions and headlining major festivals. Their third self-titled album, set to release in August 2024, promised to be a new chapter in their legacy of uncompromising brutality.

Concrete Winds have carved a path of destruction through the metal landscape, leaving a trail of sonic devastation in their wake. Their uncompromising approach to extreme music has earned them a dedicated following and cemented their status as one of the most ferocious bands in the scene.
