Formation and Rise of Sepultura (1984–1996)

In 1984, Brazilian brothers Max and Igor Cavalera came together to form the iconic heavy metal band Sepultura. The band released albums like 'Inflikted' (2008) and 'Pandemonium' (2014), showcasing their signature blend of thrash and groove metal.

In addition to Cavalera Conspiracy, Igor also explored other musical ventures, playing in bands like Nailbomb and Strife. His passion for hip-hop led him to DJing, and he co-founded the DJ duo Mixhell with his wife Laima Leyton. Together, they have brought their unique blend of metal and electronic music to audiences worldwide.

Soulwax Collaboration and Ongoing Influence (2016–Present)

In 2016, Igor Cavalera joined the acclaimed Belgian band Soulwax as one of three drummers for their new live show, 'Soulwax Transient Program for Drums and Machinery'. This collaboration led to the release of the album 'From Deewee' in 2017, showcasing Cavalera's versatility and innovation as a musician. He has since remained an official member of Soulwax, continuing to push boundaries in the realm of electronic music and live performances.
