A History of Black Infinity

Formation and Early Years (2006–2009)

Black Infinity emerged from the depths of Vietnam in 2006, when Nguyễn Tiến Hưng (Hung Blackhearted), Đặng Thái Sơn, Nguyễn Tiến Mẫn (Tiger Nguyen), and Tiger Vũ joined forces to create a unique blend of Death metal, Goth metal, and Doom metal. The band quickly gained traction in their home country, releasing their first EP 'Apocalyptic' via Hehemetal in 2006.

By 2009, Black Infinity unleashed their debut album '666 Metal', featuring 11 tracks that showcased their raw talent and dark melodies. The band's haunting sound resonated with fans, propelling them to new heights within the Vietnamese metal scene.

Rise to Prominence and Lineup Changes (2010–2012)

In 2010, Black Infinity's popularity soared as they were recognized as one of the top ten candidates for the ASEAN Best Band Awards. However, internal struggles led to drummer Hoàng Mỹ's departure due to drug addiction, resulting in La Cẩm Cường taking over the drumming duties. Undeterred, the band continued to push boundaries and captivate audiences.

The year 2012 marked a significant milestone for Black Infinity with the release of their documentary DVD 'Rising From The Dark'. This visual journey into the band's world was celebrated at Hardrock Cafe Ho Chi Minh, solidifying their status as icons in the Vietnamese metal scene.

Global Recognition and Musical Evolution (2014–2015)

Black Infinity's evolution reached new heights in 2014 with the release of their double album 'The Illuminati of Love and Death I & II', showcasing their musical prowess and lyrical depth. Collaborating with renowned producer Tim Palmer, the band unleashed singles like 'Suicide Romance' and 'Young Guns' that dominated the airwaves on MTV Viet Nam.

In 2015, Hung BlackhearteD expanded his creative endeavors by launching his Rock fashion line 'The Black Clothing'. Additionally, he ventured into the realm of music production, co-founding the rock record label 'Young Guns Records' with his brother Tiger Nguyen. Black Infinity's influence continued to grow, leaving an indelible mark on the global metal community.

Black Infinity's journey through the realms of Death metal, Goth metal, and Doom metal has left an enduring legacy in the annals of heavy music.
