A History of Blaakyum

Formation and Early Years (1995–2011)

Embracing their cultural roots, Blaakyum incorporated the goblet drum into their music, adding a distinct flavor to their heavy sound.

After honing their craft for years, Blaakyum finally unleashed their debut studio album, 'Lord of the Night', on the ominous Friday the 13th of January 2012. The album showcased the band's raw energy, powerful riffs, and unique blend of metal genres, solidifying their place in the Lebanese metal scene.

Rise to Prominence and Line of Fear (2012–2016)

Following the release of 'Lord of the Night', Blaakyum's popularity soared, garnering them a dedicated fan base both locally and internationally. In 2016, the band continued their musical journey with the release of their second album, 'Line of Fear', on the 25th of June. This album showcased the band's growth and maturity, solidifying their position as one of the leading metal acts in the Middle East.

With their powerful music and electrifying live performances, Blaakyum embarked on a tour that kicked off at the prestigious Tuska festival and culminated in the 'Thrash Mercenaries' Tour 2016, where they shared the stage with legendary bands like Onslaught. The tour further cemented Blaakyum's reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the global metal scene.
