Formation and Early Years (2001–2010)

Hailing from the small town of Sandpoint, Idaho, We as Human burst onto the Christian rock scene in 2001. With a sound that blended powerful melodies and heartfelt lyrics, they quickly caught the attention of industry heavyweights.

In 2010, the band's big break came when John Cooper of Skillet discovered them and introduced them to Atlantic Records. This led to a move to Nashville, Tennessee in 2011, where they would make their mark on both the Christian and mainstream rock markets.

Disbandment and Rebirth (2016–present)

After the band disbanded, former members Justin Forshaw and Jake Jones refused to let their music die. Teaming up with music producer Robert Venable, they formed a new band in 2016 under the name As We Ascend, breathing new life into their sound.

With a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of purpose, As We Ascend continues to carry the torch of their musical legacy, captivating audiences with their powerful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.

Though We as Human may be no more, their impact on the Christian and mainstream rock scenes is undeniable. Their music continues to resonate with fans old and new, leaving a lasting legacy that will not soon be forgotten.
