A History of Angellore

Formation and Early Years (2007–2009)

In the dark depths of France in 2007, the seeds of Angellore were planted when Rosarius and Walran connected through the internet. Fuelled by a shared love for death/doom and gothic metal, the duo wasted no time in forming the band during the Festival d'Avignon. Their first demo, Ambrosia, emerged in August 2007, showcasing their melodic yet haunting sound.

With the addition of drummer Ronnie in late 2009, Angellore's lineup solidified, paving the way for the recording of their debut album, Errances. Released in 2012, Errances received critical acclaim, establishing Angellore as a force to be reckoned with in the doom metal scene.

Rise to Prominence (2015–2020)

In 2015, Angellore signed with Shunu Records, setting the stage for the release of their sophomore album, La Litanie des Cendres, in August of the same year. The album further solidified Angellore's reputation for crafting atmospheric and emotionally charged compositions that resonated with fans of the genre.
