Fender has joined forces with Iron Maiden to release a new collection of signature guitars and basses in honor of the band’s 50th anniversary. The lineup includes models representing each member of Maiden, including guitarists Dave Murray and Janick Gers, as well as founding bassist Steve Harris.
The highlight of the collection is the Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Masterbuilt Dave Murray Stratocaster, priced at $11,000. Crafted by Masterbuilder Andy Hicks in collaboration with Murray, this guitar is designed for high-performance durability on global tours. Featuring a striking NOS Olympic White finish, the Strat boasts 21 medium jumbo stainless-steel frets and Murray’s preferred Seymour Duncan pickups.
Hicks expressed his admiration for Murray, calling him his favorite guitar hero and emphasizing Fender’s place in heavy metal music. The collaboration between the two on this guitar was a moment of pride for Hicks, seeing his favorite player from his favorite band using a guitar he built.
Another standout in the collection is the Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Janick Gers Stratocaster, priced at $1,699.99. This guitar features a sleek Black finish, vintage tall frets, and Seymour Duncan JB Jr. pickups. It also includes Gers’ signature on the headstock, making it a unique addition to any Iron Maiden fan’s collection.
The Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Dave Murray Stratocaster under the Fender brand is offered at $1,799.99. With a Black finish, this guitar combines the best features of Dave’s favorite Fender guitars, including three Seymour Duncan pickups and a Floyd Rose R2 double-locking tremolo.
Completing the collection is the Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Steve Harris Precision Bass, priced at $1,699.99. This bass guitar, featuring a Satin Black finish and all-maple construction, pays homage to Harris’ long-standing love for the Fender Precision Bass. It comes equipped with a Precision split P Bass pickup and Fender Vintage Precision Bridge.
Iron Maiden fans can also look forward to the band’s upcoming North American tour next summer, where they will share the stage with Megadeth and Anthrax. This tour is part of the band’s 50th-anniversary celebrations and promises to be a memorable experience for metal enthusiasts.
Overall, the collaboration between Fender and Iron Maiden not only commemorates the band’s milestone but also offers fans the opportunity to own instruments that reflect the iconic sound and style of this legendary heavy metal group.
