EUPHOBIA, a new black metal band, made a thunderous entry onto the music scene in June with their striking black and white visuals. The band, comprising five members and self-described as “Black Metal/Blackened Deathcore,” quickly followed their debut with the release of their first single and music video titled “INSOMNIA” on June 21.
The band lineup includes vocalist Natsu (亡憑), ex. NINTH IN PLUTO guitarist Yosuke (遥祐), guitarist sei (静), bassist and composer SHIYAO (尸妖), and drummer Neo (音烏). EUPHOBIA’s social media accounts featured individual introductions of each band member, linking to their respective X and Instagram profiles. Despite being a recent debutant, the band’s X account has amassed over 1,500 followers, showcasing a promising start for the group.
Exciting news awaited fans as EUPHOBIA announced plans to release three singles over the summer, with “INSOMNIA” marking the first of the trio. The band’s upcoming singles, “FROSTBITE” and “WILL,” are scheduled for release in July and August, respectively. While the current single is exclusively available on YouTube due to technical glitches hindering other distribution platforms, fans can still enjoy the band’s music video for “INSOMNIA.”
The music video maintains the band’s black and white aesthetic, featuring glitchy visuals and distorted sounds leading into a crescendo of intense vocals and instrumentals characteristic of Blackened Deathcore. EUPHOBIA’s promise of a unique sound experience is vividly realized in the video, captivating audiences with its raw energy and distinctive style.
Although live shows are not yet on the horizon for EUPHOBIA, fans can stay updated on any upcoming events through the Schedule tab on the band’s website. Additionally, the band has hinted at a potential merchandise line with a dedicated shop section, hinting at exciting developments in the band’s future.
